Statistical Maps are maps that show statistical values across geographical areas. Much like Choropleth Maps, Statistical maps use shading to represent the statistical data. The data can be expressed as percentages, rates, ratios, or another mathematical form.
The map shown is a Statistical Map of the "Percentage of light eyes in Europe." A small percentage of light eyes in an area is marked by dark brown shading; A higher percentage of light eyes in an area is marked by light blue shading.
